We are an incorporated 501(c)(3) nonprofit theatre company who's goal is to produce unique, experimental, and original small-cast plays in an close setting for the local community. We hope it will become a proving ground for local playwrights to test out scenes and characters in a small setting, and develop their skills as writers. Actors and tech crew alike can explore small-cast, experimental works not well-suited for larger theater houses through our flexible style of production. AVT operates out of a fully-functional blackbox theatre in Quartz Hill, California. CONTACT US at: productions@avthespians.org.

Our project’s goal is to produce unique, experimental, and original small-cast plays in an intimate setting for the local community. We hope it will become a proving ground for local playwrights to test out scenes and characters in a small setting, and develop their skills as writers. Actors and tech crew alike can explore small-cast, experimental works not well-suited for larger theater houses through our flexible style of production. AVT operates out of a 28-seat blackbox-style theatre in Quartz Hill, California... in the garage of a private residence.

Winner of the Obie and Vernon Rice Awards. A resounding Off-Broadway success (in tandem with IT’S CALLED THE SUGAR PLUM), this powerful and disturbing study of the mindless cruelty of two teenage toughs towards a helpless stranger earned its author unqualified critical praise, and established him as one of our theatre’s most important young playwrights. “The best Off-Broadway play of the season.”
